Love will be in the air in the nation’s capital this fall, when Naomi Biden, partner at Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer, marries her longtime boyfriend. Biden, of course, is President Joe Biden’s granddaughter, and earlier this week she announced on Twitter that the matter would be at the White House.

But who is this Peter character that the president’s granddaughter plans to marry? Let’s dig.

According to The New York Times, Naomi’s future husband is Peter Neal from Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Neal is a third-year student in his final semester at Penn Law. You might recognize his name as one of the creators of My CARES Act Benefits, an online quiz that calculates federal aid eligibility. (Neal’s co-creator in this charitable venture? His future wife, Naomi. Aww!) According to his LinkedIn profile, he spent the last summer working as an associate at Cooley. Assuming he gets an offer, that would be extremely convenient since the company happens to have an office in DC

Although the location of their ceremony has yet to be announced, the couple’s reception will take place at the White House on November 19. The last wedding reception of a member of the presidential family to be held there dates back to June 2008, to celebrate the wedding of Jenna Bush. marriage with Henri Hager.

Congratulations to the happy young couple, and may they survive and prosper together through the happiness of billable wedding hours!
